A Quarter Century Of Progress

When one observes
fine herds of purebred Black and.
White-. Holstein cattle ,'in. Huron
County today, it is difficult to re-
alize that just 25 years ago, only
nine' breeders banded . togetherto
form the Huron County Holstein.

uals. Two have been bred in the
herd of Thomas and George .Hay-
den of Corrie, ' one of thein be-

year for $6,000. Glen Walden of
Lucknowalso bred an "Excel-
lent" cow :that. sold for '$2,500. in
1962: At his . sale in: 1963; Harold
Bradley of ' Goderich sold an "Ex-
cellent" cow that had been bred
by Willis Van Egmond of 'Clip -
