Huron Township Council held
their 1Vlarch meeting with all mem
bers .present. Minutes of last meet-
ing and special, meetings were
read and confirmed. •
The tender of ;Lloyd Lamont was.

Council adopted a: budget pre-

SHORTHORN' BULL SALE`•
T h e ' Canadian International..
Shorthorn Bull. Sale, held at
Brandon, Man, broke new ground
in establishing a top average price
in the history of this sale. A. price
average 'of $1,375 was established
for 55 bulls, this being the high-
est 'modern figure for a Shorthorn
consignment bull' sale. Ten" bulls .
brought $2;000 or better, . with 34
hulls_selling in_ .the four , figure
bracket: A, record crowdof. some
2,500 cattlemen watched the show,
and sale with keen interest.,
Bulls for this ' sale were •corn-'
signed from six provinces, • rang-
ing .from Nova Scotia to Alberta,
and from :four States; all the way
from Georgia to' Montana. Sim
ilarly, buyers came from • a wide
area, with 8 States taking home
13 of the offering, with the re-
maining
.e-maining 41 staying in • Canada,
Manitoba taking 28 and Saskat-
chewan 11, • and Alberta .2.
A further ' international flavor
was added, when , the pre -sale
show was judged' by Jack Evans,
New Zealand, fresh from adjud-
