The meeting was opened with . the.
4H pledge: The minutes of the
last meeting were read ' by. 'Helen.

$1.00 from each member..
Sharon and , Marianna• showed
the, members how t0 .straighten
the material .Marianna also ,show=
ed the members • how to measure
a person for a , pattern. Some of
the garments were cut out. The
meeting closed with ' the singing
of the Queen.. ;

a two month visit to their native
land, Holland. •

Helens. Hall. The meeting opened
with.. the • 4-11 pledge, with the
president, Loree Campbell ,presid
ing. .

pared my Material." The • next.
meeting will be . Saturday, Octo-

The leaders 'and,. members dis-
cussed and demonstrated 'nark-
ing,' , stay -stitching, laiped '.seam,.
machine, ' basting, French sarn,'
and pinning . and basting. Thegirls
then worked at. pinning ,on and
marking. The Meeting closed with
the.Queen.
ZIPPY' ZIONETTES
The 'secondmeeting of the 'Zip-
py Zionettes was held at the home
of Mrs. Charles Anderson. on Oc-
tober 5th, `1965.- T h e' : president,
Brenda Ritchie, opened ..the meet-
ing a n .d all repeated' the 4-H
pledge.
The: roll call ' was answered
"Why I' `chose my ..Material." ' In-
side : and ;outside. covers were 'dis-
cussed : during the. business: The
same' outside . covers, as before
will be used only :dress dolls in
pyjamas: Mrs. Hunter ` discussed
preparing the material and .'alter-
ing patterns. Mrs. Anderson' dis-
cussed' ; placing patterns on mat-
erial and cutting. She. also , dem-
onstrated sewing a flat fell seam
and all members : practised sew-
ing one • after her. The meeting
was closed, with• the 4-11 Creed.
