Mr.. MacLeod was. road: super•in-
tendant for 18. • years in Kinloss
. Township.- He held.,offices 'on the
School Board and' in his ' church,
and • seven. 'years' on the Lucknow
Council after coming ' to town.
Mrs • Mad .eod, loves her . •'home,
flowers and garden, ,takes an ac-
tive part in church and Institute
Work, and in anything that makes
for a bettercommunity, life. They,
both enjoy , : good health, and keep
quite active. Mr. and Mrs. Mac-
Leod . are members of South Kin-,
loss '. Presbyterian Church which
they have attended these' 50 years.
Mr. MacLeod has been associated
with Kinloss 'much= :longer.' than
that. '
Sandy is the son of ;the late Mr.
and 'Mrs: John MacLeod of Kin-
loss. Mrs.. MacLeod was : the for-
mer' Ada Mary Levis, daughter
of the late Mr. and Mrs: James.
Levis` ' of St. Helens. They have,
two children Lawrence of Kinloss
'and Grace. Mary ('Mrs. Wilfred.
Hodgkinson) ` of Wingham,' ":t w o
grandsons - Kenneth and Keith Hod-
gkinson and two great grandchild-
ren all of Wingham.
On Sunday, September. 26th, 'Mr.
and Mrs. MacLeod entertained the

Tom Jardin of Wingham is in
satisfactory condition in Wingham
Hospital following' a shotgun ac-
cident Saturday . afternoon south
of Lucknow.

when his shotgun exploded in his
hand and drove •a piece of the
gun stalk into his arm

1703 cattle were auctioned. Top
price for steer 'calves : was $24.50,
700-1b battle sold up, to_$2200, and
heifers , up ,to $18.00.

last year. A large number were
purchased this :year . for export ,to
the United States
