September 15th, He was 85 years

Lucknow and Wellesley Bantams
played the' first , game of a best
2 out. of 3 game series, in Welles-
ley last Satitrday , night for ' the
Western • Ontario ' Group Champion
ship
The 'Lucknow :lads : -started off
well. and ` held the lead right
through to a 4, to 3 : win. Ronnie '
Nicholson and, ` Murray . Mewhinney
were the battery with 16 strike -outs
against 10 for Wellesley.
On ' Monday of this week Wel-
lesley returned' to . Lucknow for
the second game and downed the
Lucknow:. squad 4 to .0. Wellesley
got off to a good start and Luck -
now couldn't make "a .come back.
The third and final 'game will
be played this week in Wellesley
