caped •with an injured hip. '
Police were two hours remov-
ing the body from the car at the
intersection of Highway 86 and
Huron County Road 6. Mrs. John -
Ston was thrown out .6f.' the small
car and . .pinged beneath • the
wheels. . •
Mrs, Johnston • was born in Ash-
field Township on May 29, 1906,
the.: daughter of the late Mr. and,

Mrs. Row Allen (Roily) Grant.
Her mother was the former Bar-
bara Parrish.' Following . her
marriage to:. Gordon Johnston on.
Christmas Day in .1933 at Goder-
ich, they, resided in Lucknow for
some time where Gordon was em-
ployed in the barber business. A
crippling rheumatic 'condition icor- .•
ced'• him to give up barbering and
'he and his wife moved to 'Toron
to where they resided since. Gor-
don's death occurred in August
of 1961; and he was buried' in
Greenhill Cemetery here:
Mrs. Johnston has been teach- e
ing in recent years.: She came to
this area last Thursday and was
visiting with her sisters, Only the
evening before, she . `had dinner
with her nephew Grant Chisholm
and family ' of Lucknow.
• She is survived *by two' sons,
Clarence, who is married and re-
sides in. Toronto and . Rodger, : also
of : Toronto who will '. be entering • .
university this Fall, three sisters,

Funeral . • services Were held
from the MacKenzie • Memorial
Chapel in Lucknow on Wednesday,
September 1st at 2' p.m. conducted
by' Rev, W. A. Henderson. Burial
was in ,Greenhill ,Cemetery, Pal

and • Grant Parrish, Ken 'MacKen-
zie, • Grant Chisholm' and Harvey
