As weddings go, this possibly
could be termed 'a "fashionable"
one. The family are : well known.

ace, A granddaughter of the:: late
Sir : Winston' Churchill, :is to
one of 'l the siix. bridesmaids,
Jean trained for. ,a nurse in
England : and spent • the' war years
in and . around. London. She is.

Mates. Before returning home she
and her cousin, Dr. Ann Nichol-
son Wright, who • is ' at present in
England, : plan on a. trip up . to
theIsle of Skye in Northern Scot-

Margie Collins Has,
Fractured` Wrist
Margie Collins,. 8 year old :dan-
ghter of Mir. and. Mrs. Burton,Co1-
lens of Purple Grove, had the'
misfortune to fracture: two . bones
in her left wrist last week. The
accident occurred on August 24th.
at the playground,, adjacent to the
swimming Teeswater swig pool, when
she fell' from the horizontal bars.
Luckily : for.'. ° Margie she. ,had
tried ' her swimming test' -'the pre-
vious Friday. She hadaccoMpan-',
ied> the juniors : back to TeesWater
and was putting in time at the
playground when theaccident
happened.A cast was ;applied and
Margie is now carrying • her arm,
in;' a sling.

Jim Huffman, whose- wife a n d
two small: • children drowned • in: a,
boating accident ..:.off Manitoulin

ago in which Mr. anti ' Mrs. 'Huff-
man, : their two small .children and
another couple had to take': to the
water after .r.their boat .: broke ;up.
in a storm :The Huffman child-
ren died in their • parents. arms
while drifting in life jackets and
Mrs. Huffman later died.The lug
band of the other couple perished
and; the only • survivors were Mr.
Huffman and the other lady: The
six were all lashed 'together, and
a :last effort to save them-
selves,. t h e two survivors were
forced to: cut themselves free of
the four bodies and swim a long
distance to a fly infested island
where they were rescued by. two
