erich (a former pupil of tTo. 1:
School) that a : committee be ap-
pointed . to meet with Huron town-
ship . council • with regaled ' to ,the
project: of having''.a: plaque or
! or cairn placed at this; memor'-
able site.
Of interest to all was.:a tele-
gram read by . the chairman; Per-
rin. Lowry' from Mr..&.: Mrs. Ver-
ner. Brown, . who', arespending a
vacation in . England.. Mr and.
Mrs. Lorne Weber ' of Waterloo,
and 'Roy Brown" represented the
Brown family at the reunion. Mrs.'
Weber (Sylvia Brown) was called
on ' later and reminisced of hum-
orous events of the past, school
days. After choruses by No.. '1
pupils,- which were .:accompanied
by Mrs. Robert ' Courtney, . Reeve
W It Lowry gave a short ' ad -
dregs, •as did William Walsh of
Kincardine. He mentioned-- a trip,
he and Mrs. Walsh. (Fransey Em-
merton) enjoyed in the States
last year.. At Oregon they visited
with Mrs. S. Baker (Sadie Blair)
who taught . at No. one school at
one time.
Malcolm' MacDonald of, British
Columbia, who- came the farthest,
gave. a few remarks He. is the
, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Mur-
dock MacDonald, fori'ner . light
house keepers. at Point Clark. ' Oth-
er speakers for the occasion were
