The 19th annual Gaunt .reunion
was held July 17th at .the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Russell Phillips. It
was a very pleasant . afternoon
With around .100 , in . attendance.

ed by • young and old with Mrs..
Gordon Needham and Mrs. , Allan
Johnston .in' • charge. A gift was,
Presented • to the' oldest person be-
ing Mr. George Phillips' and to
thenewest married' couple being
Mr. and Mrs. Mike .Foran. ° A
bountiful supper was served after
which Rosaline''Phillips favoured
with a 'few accordian' selections.
':Business: was discussed, and Leon-
ard Phillips : was again elected
President :with . Ken Gaunt sec=
treasurer.. Mr. ' and . Mrs: Harold
Gaunt will hold the .20th :reunion
in 1966.

well on Wednesay, July 7. '
The president. Mrs. Ronald
Thacker was in' charge of the
meeting with the • secretary Mrs,
Clarence. Hedley recording : the
minutes. The, scripture was . read
by Mrs., Wm. Campbell, . The ;Rolle
Call was answered with "A press'
clipping of'. agricultural interests"
Following: the minutes; ' of ' the last
meeting ' and 7the treasurer's re-
port, the convenor for Agricul-
ture, Mrs. John Hodgins, read the
motto, "Peace of the World De-
pends on Food", which had been
prepared by Mrs. R. W. • Stump
of Walkerton,
Mrs. Hodgins ' introduced the
guest speaker Ronald Slade,
Fieldman for Bruce County. Fed-
eration of ,Agriculture ,who gave': a
very interesting and thorough re-
port of the • work of the Federa-
tion. Mrs. Hodgins thanked the
speaker and presented him . with
a gift.
In reply to a- letter' from. Mrs.
Donna ,Mae Holm, Home. Econom-
ist, : concerning the fall project.
for the 4H girls, "The Club Girl',
Entertains",Mrs.., Edward Liz
more: and Mrs. Ronald Thacker:
were. chosen as. leaders. Expres-
sions of thanks were . received
from Mrs. Lloyd Husk for ithe
gift, with. which her new baby had
been presented, also from :• Mrs.
Mabel .Campbell; ands Mrs:. Roy
Cornish for' the gifts 'of remem-
brance they ' had , received 'as' they
both have left the community.
A Bowling party was planned
for Wednesday, evening August

Friday, August 13. Meeting clos-

Miller of. Willowdale. She had.
been, ill for the past year with a
heart condition .and, passed away
on Thursday, July 22nd •
The funeral was held on' Satur-
day, : July ' 24th. She. ' is •survived
by a daughter, Mrs, Grace Jen.
ner ' of Willowdale, ' a son ' Robert..
of Hamilton . and three grandchild-
ren. w
Mr.. Miller , .passed away sud-
denly some years ago from a cor-
onary. He .' was ,born and raised
in the St.: Helens community,, a
brother of Mrs. Ed ' Thom' . and.
