SENTINEL HAS,`PROBLEMS , .;
The Sentinel has been.. plagued,
.
with sickness' ' problems over .the
past couple; of weeks and it, has
become increasingly . difficult to
publish`' a paper..
Allan ; McQuillin,, who does :the,
,majority of the :Linotype work: at
the ' Sentinel, ;was sick for. most
of ' the `" week preceding.the 24�th.,
of: May holiday. Allan: was back
for two ' weeks and then became
ill again' last week -end and was.
hospitalized on. `Saturday and''Sun-
day.
He came to work Monday, morn-
ing. but became 'ill again and on
Tuesday morning . of this. week
ended :up' back in hospital.
Tony Johnstone, :whose . Lino-
type . experience is limited, has
been. carrying on for Allan and it
will be necessary for us:tosharp-
ly abbreviate this week's'issue
and many items of news will nec-
essarily. be held `over because' of
our, production ' problems.

of Kinloss, was' the'ti cause ' of a
fire call about 5:.30 Saturday af-
ternoon.
—Mr. •.Dawson was not home at
the time. and Mrs. Dawson,, being
worried, put' the fire . alarm in.
However Mr. Danson did return
in time to put.. the : fire out before
the . Lucknow Fire Department
arrived at the scene,

Douglas is a real "south paw"
and h .left arm, in a cast will
render him nearly useless unless
he can learn to:handle. the right
arm.

A couple . of days after his neigh-
bour Eric Taylor: had suffered
injury • by a . wire piercing his leg
15 -year-old Billy .,Howald suffered
a similar injury „although slightly

Greer. and Clarence came to his
rescue ' removing the. piece of
"No. 9 . wire." It' had': penetrated
quite deeply ° intothe youth's': left
leg. and it was necessary for the
doctor to open the wound' as
preventative " against. infection
from ` the rusty ::piece of wire.
• Seven stitches ' were': required to

Aire Into Leg
Eric Taylor, -15-.year' old son of•
I:Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Taylor of .
Lrucknow, . had the wire from. a
coat hanger driveinto his 'leg
while cutting the lawn with a.
power.lawn mower last Wednes-
day : after school,°- . ,•
Part of the hanger was ripped,
off and driven out the back of
the mower and struck Eric Oh'
the leg below the right knee,
At first he thought 1.it was a
stone that had hit him: but X-ray.
revealed the piece of „wire in his
leg. Surgery was performed that
,evening to remove the wire and
it was late in the week before he,
was released ,from hospital.
Eric is moving aboutiwith dif-
fieulty and is nursing 'the 14-
stitch gash in his leg needed tt
remove the. wire, ,
