BEACH DEVELOPMENT OVER •
PAST 15 YEARS AT MID HURON
The Sentinel carried a ` brief'

Huron beach in• : last week's is-
sue. Mid Huron is located 1' rale
north of Port Albert on Highway

In the autumn of 1949, J. Allis
ter Kruspe and Orville 'Douglas,.
of Clifford purchased a half mile

Martin • of Ashfield. The two men
worked in 'partnership in revel-
oping- the area u ntiil Mr.Kruspe's
death occured :last Novembes.:i~lis,

tinuing` on with: Mr. Douglas . in
the development ' of the ` beach

Mr. Douglas advised, the Sent-

medical nursing. '
After the. graduation ceremony
a small. reception was eld at the
nurses'residence for the gradu-
ates, and their 'parents. Follow-

at the Clayton home.

Cottcige Breakins

A number of cottages at the
"foot .of the 12th'. of - Ashfield"
were broken into recently but
.damage was light and only a few
items were stolen. ,
The breakins occurred . Sunday
evening the 16th of May or Mon-
day the 17th of ' May. A number
of cottagers were up at the beach:
that •weekend, and when they Leff;
for ' home, everything was OK.
However, one man forgot his wal-
let and returner Monday evening
to pick it up and, found the break-
ins. The wallet was' still there..
A flashlight,, screwdriver and
several • blankets was all that was
missing and it all came from .ozic
cottage. Almost all the cottages
in that area had 'heed broken into
and 'the entry was gainedby for-
cing doors or windows.
One set of footprints left a trail
of clay through, each of the cot-
tage
s. Goderich Police were in-
formed of the breakins and they
are investigating.

fered chest pains and was con-
fined to . his house over the week-

It had been the intention of
Mr and Mrs. Stothers to sail
from Montreal for an extended
visit overseas on : Friday of this
week. They : - had planned a visit
with Steve's daughter. ,Mrs. Wily .
