On Tuesday evening Mrs Vic-
-tor Emerson attended a Mother
Mystery' Mother "; and Daughter
banquet in honour of the C.G.I.T.
m-' Knox Presbyterian Church,
Teeswater. The tables • were'' dec-
orated'with daffodils. The
girls` accompanied their mothers
and mystery mothers to the isinor-
g asbord table, When ally -were
seated,: ,Grace was .sung and the
banquet began
The.. graduating ;class , were Jean
Grant, Anne Verbuck:.:Iona Sch-
neider, Jean .Halliday. and Gayle
Wamsley. Mrs. Bill • Schneider,
president, addressed; the.: girls and
presented each, with a beautiful
white Bible.' .:'Mrs. Keith . 'lit .' :the
candles and presented one, to each
girl: Mrs. Keith . 'followed with
prayer. The gifts received from
the • mystery :mothers were passed
around for all to . see.
Mrs. Emerson, With the aid of
pictures, . presented scenes she
had Seen 'while on her trip ac-
ross Canada last 'year.. She was
thanked by the CSG 1 T. and 'pine-
'sented' with a gift.

scheme was in pink, yellow,

Mrs. J. Veldhuis.. Through the
kindness of Dr. A. Vokes the en-
trance to the •.Sunday ' School'.
rooms was adorned with pictures
done in fine needlework from
China and. Japan. Mrs. G. Finn-
igan 'entertained with piano mu-
sic 'while the guests` assembled,
after which: Mrs. M. Reed gave
a ' few words of welcome.
Mrs. H. Alton and Mrs. N.
Pearson, were in' ieharge of ' ad-
mission and sale''"bf cards. Mrs.
C. Blake'' and Mrs. E. Rivett did
the honors . at the prettily decor-
ated tea .. table.' Mrs L. Hodges
was ' convener for the tea, She-

The second meeting. of the Dun-
ganon ' ,4-H Grain Club was held
May 12th, at the 'home of the.
leader James C. Drennan,' with
eleven ' members present: The
summer assistant ;for Huron Conn--
ty, ' Mr. Rod Trivers; , held a les-
son on. Weed 'Insect and disease
control, . followed by a /question-
aire The • .' members . judged , a
class of Re d Clover and Oats.:
The presid'ent,..Bryon Black, 'than-
ked -Mr. Trivers,,' and : 'Paul •Eedy
thanked Mr. Drennan for having
the, meeting, and Mrs: Drennan
'for the lovely lunch.

apple parer, coffee grinder, .fram=
ed flower wreath, rare china
glass, • brass', silver and needle-
work of 'one hundred years, sev-
enty-five and fifty, together with
an old will of 1875 took one back
to ' `the early days .Fashion.. was
not forgotten: a red .and white.
checked dress oelieved: ' to be in
the 1850 era was* loaned by Mrs,
Melinda Nevins. It was owned by
flier grandmother Mrs. Tom Cul-
bert" Sr, Mrs, Bert McWhinney's
white wedding. dress, 'and plumed'
hat of 1910 and a black .dress of
the same period drew many com-
rnents,. A heavily veiled: widow's
bonnet and. 'manymore interest-
ing items were nicely • arranged.,
Treasures frofn Holland, Eg-
ypt and . Turkey completed a re-
markable collection:.

Mrs. Jerry Wilber' and son Brad-
ley, ,all of :Don .Mills, spent the
Week -end with Mr, and Mrs,. Ce -
