The village of Ripley was shook -
ed and saddened on .Tuesday mor-
ning April 6 to ' learn that Mrs,
' William Jackson had suddenly,
passed on to her . reWard in, Kin-
• cardine General Hospital. Being
of a kindly and thoughtful -dispos-
ition she. was 'ever ready to be of
'help at timeswhen' it was needed.
She willbe greatly. missed as a
neighbour and 'a friend;
' . Mrs. Jackson, was in her sev-
enty-second year. She :was ' the
former Margaret McMurchy,
daughter of the late Samuel. Mc-
Murchy`., and Margaret Cameron..
She was born and raised on Con-
cession 6, Huron Township..
•'On October 9;. .1919 she .married
/.WilliamJackson and lived on
Concession '2,' Huron ' Township
They attended., Pine River , Unit -
:ed Church • where both were faith-
ful
aith-f ul members and. workers. Eleven
years ago, Mr. and Mrs.: Jackson.
retired from their farm, home to
make their home in 1Ripley. They
• joined St. Andrew's. United Chur-
ch where Mr's.. Jackson took an
active part in . the, 'work' of ' the
U.C:W;

Relatives and'friends from Lon

the funeral.

ham and District Hospital en Sat-
urday, . April 10th, ' after a• -brief
illness. She was -67 years of age.
The former Mary Ethel John-
son; she was the daughter of the
late. Richard and .Sarah Johnson,
and- -was born at Hepworth, On-

in. that village to ',the late • Mr.
Henry, who predeceased her in
1962. ''
