Mrs: J. C. . McKim read the Scrip-
ture from. St. John's gospel. and
Mrs. H. Houston gave the , medit-
ation on • the preparation, of .Jesus
for his crucifixion and departure
from . the earth. •
Mrs. .Scott, the ,former' Bertha
Blue, of • Ripley,4 contributed a
beautifully °• rendered • solo, : "Oh,
it is Wonderful."• The offering was

and Mrs. Thomas•, Melvin of.
ross Township, ‘_and , taught school
'at Kinloss and. Riversdale', before
entering the ministry., He was
graduated 'from Wellesley .College;
Winnipeg, in 1906,`; later •taught
there and became its • registrar:
Rev.. Dr.,Melvin began, preach-
ing • as • a student in Manitoba in;
1897, and .-held charges hi. Mani.
toba . and Alberta ' before going to.
Vancouver. in :;1932. He . was a vet-
eran, of the. `>;'irst, World War.- '
,;He 'retired from preaching in
