Mr. Kincaid felt , it would be
in .the interest of all ;to arrange
a Meeting with the Huron boards.
• ABOUT: 500, PUPILS
The 'formation of a, Lucknow-:

pil ,population of about. 227 •with

gestiori ' of 1000 pupils in .a. county

suggests ' a minimum of 300 pu-

meeting.
NEW "SCHOOL .PROPOSAL
Assuming .•that Lucknow a 'n d
Kinloss might form an area, it
was suggested that the' Kinloss.

is; with an eleven -room plus play-
room school 'built, . at Lucknow to
accomodate the" Lucknow ' pupils
and the balance of 'Kinlossnot.
able. to be ;handled in the : Holy
rood school: Kinloss now have an
enrolment of 106 pupils; ,and could'
possibly close . one rural • school
and . absorb them at • Holyrood..
Any other closings • ; would : mean
a ' .building ,program . " at Kinloss
Central. • • '
It 'was rep eatedly :pointed out
,that a new . school 'building pro --
grain is handled. much more ec
onomically. than an addition ,pro -
grain.
pro -gram.: While . it was generally
agreed that ' the ;Lucknow. school
is in good ' state of. 'repair,• it was'.
pointed ;out • that the grant struc-
ture ' is •geared' to , aid •• new build-
ing . programs and. that a small
addition :to: the Lucknow school

less cost than; the building.. of a
ba,nd new school.,

ditions. It:, was. 'feltthat if 'an ad-
dition . was.' built to.: the "Lucknow

tions would mean extensive ren-
ovation' to the interior. '
•'INSP'ECTOR'S SUGGESTION

of both proposals examined close-

Mr. Waldie stressed' that there
