illness: He was 63
Mr.. Rivers' was born in.', Tees-
Water, and attended • high school
in the city " of Owen Sound, grad-
uating . in 1924 from the . Univer-
sity of Toronto with:. first class
honours` in arts' and, aPrince .of
Wales • Medal for general: profic-
iency.
,His parents, ` Mr. and Mrs. Al-
bert 'Rivers. resided _here' at one
time in 'the- apartment occupied'.

•Mr. Rivers was a blacksmith.
Other members of the family Ed-
na, Margaret and Cliff are re-
membered by many residents.
