Mrs. , George Newbold then took
the chair to conduct the program

ladies. ' Following t :h e opening
hymn .Mrs. Jack McKim led in
prayer. The scripture, Psalm . 96,
was. read responsively; Mrs: Gor-
don Johnstone`. gave the medita-
tion entitled- "Give An Account.
of The Stewardship." A duet by
Mrs. Mel . Goyette ' and . Mrs. Jack
McKim,:. accompanied by Mrs.
Gordon Montgomery, was much.
enjoyed. Mrs. Robert Finlay gave
the Offertory Prayer.
Guest speaker was. Mrs. Arthur
Jackson, wife of the United
Church minister of Belgrave. She
has had . a great deal of exper
i,e n c e in different .phases .` of
church work and has a ; Bachelor
of Divinity degree. Her ,.subject
was, the '"History of Women . in
the Churches" beginning .in. Bible
times and tracing the part played
by women u . Canadian churches.
Mrs. Mel Goyette . gave a .read
read-
ing entitled "Beatitudes, for .a
Housewife." Mrs.: Elwin Hall ex-
pressed
the thanks of the United.
Church Women to everyone : tak-
ing ,part, in the . program . espec-
ially Mrs. ::Jackson ; for = her fine
address ,and to , the Presbyterian

ing to be held at Seaforth on
March 24th. Those planning to at-
tend are Mrs. Frank Ritchie,,
Mrs. Harvey Ritchie, Mrs. Kais-
er, Mrs. Wesley Ritchie; and Mrs..
