Hospital, where he .has been , a- patient for the past four . months. Born near, Ripley, he was :83", •years ,of gae. He was the son of, the '.late Mr. and Mrs. James Soloman. Mr. Soloman had lived in 4trat- ford . for the. . past 48 years. He. bad : been 4- millwright with R. M. Ballantyne 'Co. f o r . twenty years and 'had retired ten .years moo. He was as member of St. Johns United Church and served en. the board of stewards . for twenty five , . years. Mr. ' Soloman. joiithe order, of Oddfellows in' Ripley & received his; 60 yr., jew- el last year..He Withh. his two brothm, Fred and Austin . (now dece: aed) had a hardwarestore in Ripley for a time. The whole i family lived n their early` years on: the fifth concession of Huron township and all were faithful members of Olivet church and: in all young people's activities of the church. He married another- 'member of Olivet church whose .family were all' active .church people,' her . two • brothers, William and: Walter are still . there, ` Jane I Roulston, ' the daughter ` of . Mr. and:. Mrs. ` John- ston 'Roulston, now deceased. Mrs. Soloman survives along with four. daughters, Marian, at home;' Mrs. Tom (Edna) Kincaid, 240 • Delmar Ave.;: Mrs. D. L. (Elva) ;Bay - Sock, . Ingersoll; Mrs. George (He len) Homes • of . Montreal; also five grandsons,'. and 'three ; great grandchildren.
