ently has an enrolment of " about
50 and is being taught by Mrs, Al
Atkins, principal and Mrs; Wayne
Horner. New areas ''have* been
formed . by the Kingsbridge, board
which it is hoped will give all
Catholic children within. the -town-
ship the • opportunity of ;attending
the Separate ..school if 'they wish.
Pupils , would be bussed; . to and
from the new school from var-

:It is anticipated that as many
as .100 children might .attend the
new school. With an enrollment

A much larger attendance at
the annual meeting of the 'Luck -
now Agricultural Society on, Satur-
day, .the largest in many years,

any of our local fairs. `,

75th birthday on. February 2nd.•
Come :next July, Tom will have
completed 46 years of 'mail de-
livery service on, this lone 'rural
route, out of Dungannon Post Of-
fice. His' 20% . mile daily. trip
covers •the 6th. and 4th Conces-
sions of Ashfield west of the "Gra
vel !Road' to';'tlhe ':Bluewater High-
:Tom started -driving the route.
back in . '1919, . when he ;was 29
years of age. He • took the, route
over from Tom Elliott, ..who was,
the'' original courier .when: rural
mail ` delivery Was established.
:Tom has • some 60 boxholders
along the ,route and•' only three of
thein, W, A. Culbert, Gorr' Con -
gram and Wm., Hastie were along
the line when he, started his. de-
liveries.'
His °202 mile ` route : figures
out at roughly 6,000 ' miles, a year.
He -. never'' missed a Christmas",
season ' for 43 winters. ` The past
two winters he has had to take it
a little easier due to • a • heart : con-
dition.. When• Tom can't drive : the
route, Mrs. Rivett takes it for
him. If. the weather is too stormy
she -still' goes, but gets' a 'driver
to go along
• Tom was in the hospital for ten

Mrs. Thomas. Armstrong,
R.R,' 2 Lucknow, was appoint-
ed clerk of the Township of
West Wawanosh at the regu-•
lar meeting of council on Mon-
day. Mrs. Armstrong succeeds
John. Foran who has held, the
position of clerk for the past
eleven. years.
The new clerk resides on
their farm .on the 9th of West
Wawanosh • near the division
line. She was the. former Joan
His'eler: of Wingham, and prior
to her . marriage worked in.
the law . office of Crawford

ham. She is the mother , of
