Hotel . London. Elaine .and John
are both members of the • "1965
Year Book staff, �" Stormy 'wea-
th'er • forced' school at L!D.H:S. to
be called off : on ;Friday ' and' it
looked-. for a long time as if our
trip, would also have to be can-
celled. 'Nevertheless with the old
saying "If there's . a will there's
a way" in our minds, we made
our way to London. Mr. Hall ac-
companied us and. shortly ' after
12 o'clock noon the three of . us
arrived ; at the Hotel London.: Af-
ter checking in, we 'joined •the
other delegates in the Crystal Ball-
room where

Lucknow United;Church was.held
in the Fellowship Room :of the
Sunday ' School on, Tuesday, Jan-
uary 26th. A.representative. group
of members and adherents 'were
in attendance..
The meeting, was opened ,with
devotions. T h e Rev., Howard
Strann was chairman and Jim
MacTavish was secretary. Re -
Ports were; received from all or
ganizations a n d these revealed
that , progress had been made in,
the essential' work, of Church Life.
The total .finances' raised; tby all
deaartments ' were General work'
$17,968,01, and i. for Missions .$3,-
400.00. The United: Church Obser-
yer is .,placed; in 200 homes and
is a valuable aid in -the field,
information- as •to the ' h rcY�fs

work. 'The United Church' Wom-
en contributed, $1,075.00 to the.
Presbyterial' Missions,' beside the
general work Of, local ' interest:
They also . did considerable refur-
nishing of the Manse. •
The Sunday School reported an
average attendance of 130` pupils
for the 52 Sundays that the school
