cil. It' was pointed out that these
regulations are to be strictly en-
forced after January 1st, 1965.
On a motion by Councillors
Smyth .. and Lyons, By-law No. 1,
1965 was. -finally,- passed naming.
the . township officials for . 1965
and stating their salaries. The
salaries of the Township .Treas
urer and Township Assessors were
increased $25.00 each. The hourly.
rates of the road . employees were.
increasbd ` in, the ; hope `of meeting
the requirements of the Minimum -
Wage' Act.
On a motion by Councillors Er-
rington and. Smyth,, the resigna-
tion' of .John F. Foran as Town-
ship Clerk was accepted with re-
gret. Also,: by this . motion, the
Clerk was instructed to advertise
in two issues of the_ three : local
weekly newspapers for °applica
tions for the position' of township
Clerk for; West. Wawanosh. Appli-
cations
will be: received until 6:00

On a motion by Councillors Ly-
ons and Jefferson, By-law No. " 2,
1965, was passed, authorizing the.
Reeve and Treasurer to borrow,;
if necessary, up to. $40,,000 , for
current expenditures in.1965.
Since the December (1964)`meet-
ing, word: had been received from
the Department , of Highways to
the effect, that the'hourly, rate
($1.00) in regard ; to Harvey Cul
bert's appointment as Township
Road Superintendent 'did not com-
ply with the:Minimum Wage ' Act
requirements.
Reeve Lorne Durnin vacated
the Reeve's chair and asked
Councillor:. H. Jefferson to . act as
chairman ` (Pro tem). It was'mov-
ed., by Lorne : Durnin that.. West
