Dear Friends
Now 'What to tell you today, Such
a beautiful day, brilliant sun-
shine, clear crisp air, . around
50'. The • tide is in and a bit ago
counted " .25 birds swimming. is -
long, . probably wild ducks..
There' •has been a beautiful' re-
flection all, ,Morning, all washed
with silver instead of the usual
colours., On such a lovely day,
I felt like 'working so l did. a bit
of •cleaning and tidying. Some
of our _ clothes , are en. the line to
get .air • and sunshine. after hang -
int. in the closet last week : when •
we hadrain and mist.' I took/ up
our. rug, all 9 ,square feet of it.,
hung it over the fence and' beat.' it
with . an • excellent _ piece of.. trim
ming , from . 'the hedge, And, by.
the way, • Hedging • and ,Ditching,
Tare two kinds of seasonal ' work
on the farm. There is '-great ,act
ivity, among our bird guests, too,
today...aEven . our littleone. legged
.pet' has ..paid . us a,. 'visit: Our
Christmas . cards are going up
on one bit of wall space as we
receive .them : L• hear that one
sinall boy has .been wondering •if

Yesterday, T . attended - the .Chris

small: differences, -•
The first . 'cup

because I. understood bullock to
mean steer. Apparently for show
purposes it means.- : either • be-
cause : Class 3. was South °Devon
Steer. I . have 'never really read
livestock ;., catalogues before,' so`
I was ' rather surprised to read
'not exceeding t eed ng two teeth but not
more than six permanent .` teeth
with; • one "calf's tooth.' The First:`
,prize , in each class was • ;Three
