Prominent Mason Passes

Stricken with an unexpected heart

Thomas Dickson, well-known and'
highiy esteemed Tiverton district
resident passed away early in , the
'afternoon.
In his" death a member of Tiver-
ton council and a prominent figure
in the district was removed. '
'Ile had been in good health Mon
day morning . and had driven home
-with 'friends. On -entering his house
he was seized with a severe attack
� . which' • caused his demise shortly
after. •

Thomas Dickson was born in the
township of Ashfield, a son of the
late' Mr. and Mrs. John Dickson. As
a young man he farmed on conces-
sion 12, there, moving to Kincardine
township 27 -years ago. He fanned
on, Concession 10 a number of years
and later on the lake shore road
north of Kincardine where Harvey!
Ackert • now, resides. He returned to
concession 10. .
To mourn • his passing he leaves
his widow, the former Margaret
Rutherford; a daughter Irene, Mrs.
Lawson ,Keyes; Windsor and three I
sons, David Dickson; Toronto; Cail'
and Earl, Kincardine- township; two
brothers, , Robert,' Chicago and John,
Bruce township and five sisters,
Mrs. Peter Matheson, Grapham4 Al-
berta; Mrs. Oscar Edwards, Calgary;
Mrs. Barran, Buffalo: • Mrs. Gus
Straub, Tonawanda, New York and

Mr: Dickson held membership in
the Canadian Order of Foresters and
was an active member • of Knox!
Presbyterian church, Tiverton. He '
gave' generously of his time to; the
community, first as a member : of
Kincardine township • Council • and
lately of Tiverton council:
The funeral, was lkeid Thursday'
afternoon from 'Knox Churoh, Tiv-
• etton to Kincardine cemetery, with
the Rev. Angus MacIver officiating.
