In the last war- Mr. Sho-ebottoi went over- seas in 1917 as a sub=lieutenant in the Royal Naval Air Service. He was awarded the D.F.C. in July, 1918. In September of the same' year he Was transferred to the R.A.F. with the rank of .captain. Mi-.. Slioebottom `� went `to England 15 years ago to accept a post with the Mersey Iron and Steel Company. Ile was also a 'director of the'H. H. Robertsons Company. He is survived by his wife who is in England, and •by two daughters, Shirley, 18 and Judy, 9, who returned to Canada' last June and are students at Branksoine Hall in Toronto . • • He is also survived by three sis- ters, Mrs', H.
