Brown, son of ,Mrs. Brown. and the late 3: W. Brown of Point Clark. The, service evas conducted .by the Rev: -H': -A Kellerman,: pastor of the church and a friend of Flying Officer Brown who lost his life in an acciden- tal crash in , England ..on February 2ist last. In a- letter to his mother, received after lite death, -Flying Officer Brawn related • how he had talked With the King and Queen onlya fe_w days bee fore he emote. the letter and't'hat he had quite a long chat with the Queen. In the same letter he said that his plane, had, several 'bullet- holes in it .and that it was being taken Ili~ for. repairs. He expressed . the expectation of being, given a. new plane to fly. • The 'information• received' by -Mrs. Brown from the air ministry was to th•e .'effect that her ;son met with 'his; .death;in a flying accident. ' Our local librarial is starting -such a scrap book' and we are ' asking •.the co-operation of all the, people . of 'Lucknow and the country '.district a- roundr We are planning on having -a =large - scrap. book into which will goevery item relatingto local iwar activities.
