Light and Love, faith and hope
enter our hearts '-anew 'br=inging
with green the peace that passeth
all trrrderstazrding..
Friendss have grown mare close
. and dear; ties of hom=e and kind-

ind-real have become a thousand fold
rescue precious. Our harries refit::
the jay in. our sours; they resorb
to cam at v'aa :s etff ttalPpy
voices; they glow ' 'M brightness
andcheer, and with .a :gracious
spirit of hospitality. "
our hearts go out to the poor
and. unfortunate.. The spirit :Of
Ch°ristm:as. hof filled us with a
desire to serve. ta• give. to make
others happy. We • have been

joy. ofi.,peace, and of good will.
th`rcugh this beautiful' Spirit . of
Christmas that has taken posses-
sinri of our. hearts.
Rut above all our thoughts
turn to those gallant lads, many
.,f whom in five long years have
not known the festive jays cf
•Christmastide with their loved
renes.
This yuletide find marry of
them slugging it out step by step '
with the enemy in the cord, the
mud and the wet in > alland and'
rtaly. They are winning , the Uzi-=

and 'sacrifices.
But no doubt they will be
cheered and encouraged at this
time by, mind's eye picture of
those gag, - happy Christmases

I thought of that first Christmas
time
When the dear Christ ' Clint came •
And shepherds saw the wondrous

The glorious heavenly flame_
I thought of how the angel baud
Sang songs of joyous praise
All . woven with the theme most
grand . •
Of "Love and Peace" A iway..

O Thou Who changeth the earth
of Yuletide,'
Who maketh it with loveliness to '
shine .. .
`I ouch; we pray, the wayworn
souls of mankind
Transform there, tool
And Lord, begin with nine.
