WEATHERMAN' GAVE
DUNGANNON A BREAK
The weatherman was kind to
'Dungannon Fall Fair. and when
Friday broke warm and bright,
President . Wilfred Drennan, and
general manager, T. M. Durnin
were all smiles.
On Thursday a downpour of
rain continued all morning and.
till well after the noon; hour, and
this was followed by a decided
drop in temperature. But Friday,
reversed conditions ,beyond any-
one's expectations. There was a
big crowd at the sho and a ,full
afternoon of enterta•nment.
When his passenger car and a
truck collided at a road inter-
section near Nile, Leroy. Stirigle,
paperhanger of Dungannon; . but
temporarily employed in Goder-
ich, was sent to Goderich hospi-
tal suffering broken . ribs' and
facial lacerations. The truck was
driven by Orville McGowan, who
escaped injury. Mr. Stingle's car
was "considerably, damaged, Traf-
fic Officer James. Culp of the
provincial police investigated.
