ducted at Crewe church on Sun-
day when Rev. Wilson of White-
church preached two inspiring
sermons. In the afternoon his text
was taken from Acts "20th chap.
verse 28 "Feed the church of
God which he has 'purchased with

from Isaiah 2nd chapter and 4th.

OBITUARY
MRS.. THOMAS HILL
Mrs. Thomas Hill, a lifelong
resident of the Langside district,
where She was much beloved,
passed away at her. home,.on Fri-
day, September 15th. Mrs.. Hill
was in her 71st year, and al-
though not in the enjoyment' of
good health, had been seriously
ill only a few days.
Mrs. Hill was formerly Eliza
McBurney, a daughter of the late,
Richard McBurney and Priscilla
Pettipiece. She was born on the
Sixth Concession of Kinloss,
where she resided all her life,
:having . moved only to an ad-
joining farm after her lnarria.ge
to her now, bereft husband.
Mr. and Mrs. Hill observed
their golden wedding anniversary
on February 20th, 1943. Mrs. Hill.
was a member of Langside Un-
ited Church and.active in W.M.S.
and Red Cross work.
The funeral service was held
at her late residence on Monday,
September 18, conducted by her
pastor, .Rev. A. H. Wilson. .Inter-
ment was in . Tiffin's Cemetery °
with . John McBurney, Harry Mc: -
Burney, George Tiffin, Walter
Ferguson, John Richardson and
Bert Moffat acting as pallbearers.
Flower bearers were Billy Cas-
lick, Billy King, Ronald Coultes,
Wallace Conn, -Johnston Conn
and Fred Colvin.
Surviving besides her husband
are three daughters, Mrs. Earl •
Caslick (Mamie), Culross; 'Mrs.
Gordon Scott ' (Vera), Ripley;
Mrs. Emmerson Morris (Ida) of
Oak Park, Illinois. A son John.
predeceased his mothgr in* 1928..
Surviving also are three ' sisters,
Mrs. Thos. Jackson .(Addie)., and
Mrs.- Georgie• Douglas; (Doddie-);' of
Souris, Manitoba; Mrs: (Mary)
: Smith of B. C.; four brothers,
John in _ Saskatchewan; Richard,
Arthur and Russel in Manitoba.
MRS. ANNABELLA MILLER
Mrs. Annabella Miller, a resi-
dent of Boundary West, Lucknow
for the past twenty years, pass-
ed ,away Sunday morning, Sep-
tember 17th at the home of her
son-in-law, Daniel Nicholson; Al-
though in failing health for some
time, it was only a week before
her death that her condition was
considered grave.
Annabella Emerson was . born
eighty years ago on the South
Line, Kincardine Township and
fifty-six years ago married Adam
Miller, Huron Township, Who
predeceased her 33 years ago.
Since ' that time she has made
her home with her d6ughter, Al-
berta. .
The funeral service, which was
held on Tuesday, was, conducted
by Rev, Howse of Zion United
Church of which she was a mem-
ber. Interment was in Kincardine
Cemetery. Pal I bearers were
neighbors, Ralph Nixon, Charles
Baird, Garner Stanley, John Mac-
Donald, Sam Reid, Fred Ander-
son. Flower 'bearers. were Emer
son Colwell, Harold, Mac and
Harvey Nicholson, Howard
Thompson, Melvin Stanley, Rob-
ert Reid.
She leaves to mourn her loss
her only child', Mrs. Dan Nich5l-
son,her son-in-law and five
grandchildren, Isabel. Margaret,
Donalda, Marion and Kenneth;
one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Doupe
Huron Township and one brother,
Robert of McConnell, Manitoba.
