doctor of New York Medical Col-
lege Flower and Fifth Avenue
Hospital Formal invitations were
sent to the heads of all depart-
ments andthe doctors and nurses
in the college.
At the gathering : the dean : of
the college. announced that he
wished to present a wellearned
gift'. to one who was always loyal
at her desk, and ' was everyone's
friend. With this he presented
her with a sterling silver box,
on the top of which was engrav-
ed: ""To Sophia A: Kempton, R.N.,
in grateful recognition of her
loyal and faithful service to the
hospital".
Miss Kempton, who was taken
completely by surprise, very.
graciously thanked them all for
the kindly gift.
