1943. on leave. he' Was married.
In • the summer of 1943. Flt. -Lt.
Hornell was • loaned to ' Boeing of
Canada on the West Coast as a
test pilot an Canso aircraft be-
ing built and turned over to the;
R.C.A.F. Late in 1943 he'returned
to•Toronto on leave. thinking that
this time he was on his way over-
seas, but the posting read Labra-
dor. He wasn't -there long befgre
being shifted to Iceland.
