The death. occurred in Winni-
peg. on Sunday of Mrs. Thomas
Watson after a long illness Mrs. -
Watson suffered a severe stroke
two years , agoi last March while
visiting in Winnipdg and 'has
been invalided, since that time.
. Mrs. Watson was formerly
Margaret Campbell*, daughter, of
the late Mr. and' Mrs.,' Malcolm „.

1859. A year later the ..first post
office was, opened here, with Mr.
Canipbell appointed -Postmaster,
and for many years to come it
remained under the management.
