Nephew Of K inolss Couple
Is " Reported "Missing"
Mr. and Mrs. Donald MacIn-
tyre of Langside received word
last week that their nephew, Sgt.
Wm. A. MacKay of the United
States Air Force was missingaf-
ter operations over•, Germany • on
April llth.,Official word was re-
ceived on April 25th by his par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan MacKay
of Detroit and formerly of Huron
Township. •
Sgt: 1VIacKay was 23 years of
.age on Easter. Sunday. He was
born on Con:' 6, .•Duron Township
and moved to Detroit with his
parents about nineteen years ago.
He joined ' the American Air
force in November of 1942 and
received his training in Alabama..
Texas and Tennesee. In March
of this year he went overseas as
a navigator, and it is 'possible that
it ',was his first operation front)
,'which he failed to return.
Sgt: MacKay is known to many
in .this 'comtnunity having. been

MRS. WILLIAM WILSON
The 'community mourns the
death of• a highly esteemedresi-
dent in the person of Mrs. Mary
Kirkland Wilson which tool
place at her ;home, Concession 7,
West •Wawanosh, on Friday ev
ening. Born near Teeswate,r in
July, 1870, she, was in her 74th
'year, She was married 49, years
ago to Wjlliam..Wilson who died
13 years ago. BurviVing are two
sons and two 'daughters„ James
K. and Wallace. Wilson of West
Wawanosh,. Mrs. Wni.„ J. Reid
(Jean), concession_ 6, Ashfield,
and ,Mrs.` Ernest Post '(Elizabeth)
of Normandale. . There are six'
grandchildren;
The departed ' woman was a
members of Erskine ' Presbyterian
Church, Dungannon, and of• the
various church groups. The fun-
eral was held. Monday afternoon
from her • late home on 'conces-
sion 7, West Wawanosh. The see-
. vices e were •conducted . by Rev.
Charles H..MacDonald, pastor of
Erskine. church. Interment was
made in . Dungannon., cemetery: .

a personnel counselors' course
at Rockcliffe, has been chosen
as one of a group of' specialists
to help plan now' for careers for
airwomen ,in civilian life 'after
the war. This group •of'graduates
will Abe • stationed at R. C. A. F.
command . r l ieadquarters, across
Canada, and wil:I'. visit air sta-
tions to •provide general ass'ist-
ance to the personnel counselors
there. .

Lady Killed ' Overseas
Mrs. Jas: M. Hodgins has re-
ceived - word that her nephew,
FO: -Robert ,Wayne. Honderieh,.-222 '
of Baden, Ont., has been killed
on • active • service overseas, He
.enlisted in 1941 as a wifeless air
gunner. He trained at Montreal
and Mount Joli, Que., graduating
with second highest honors in his
class and was presented with" a
bronze meda1.1 Shortly after he
was commissioned a pilotofficer
and posted to an East . Coast Can-
adian' squadron. Before Christ-
mas he returned to 'Britain' for, a
course avid was then posted to.
South Africa. In a recent letter
to his parents he told of spending
