manager. It was also decided to

people on Friday evening, with
door receipts approaching the
$250 mark.
The event was typically Scotch,
with the haggis, the pipes ,,and
Scotch dancing. Neil MacCallum
was master of ceremonies and
directed the, Grand March; which
was headed by Piper D. A. AMac-
Lenna,n and Allan McKiria with
the plate of haggis. Miss,,MacKay
and Bett Ward later lit the
brandy covered haggis, and with
the lights'extiriguished the crowd
luStily joined in the strains of"
Auld Lang Syne. ,
For the Grand March, the. Pro-
Cession-. paraded under the
streamers which were suspended
from the Scottish insignia in the
centre of the floor. The streamers
were. held by Mary Johnston,
Mary McQuaig, r argaret Mac-
Lennan and Donald,NIcAliSine.
Mary Louise Porteous did a
Scotch :dance number, and the
Scots reel was danced by four.

Mel Stanley has been off 'Work

received at the Lucknow Sawrnill
last Wednesday morning. Mel
was putting an elm board thru
the edger when the mishap oc-
curred which resulted in injury
to the muscles of the right arrn.

past eleven and a half years,
tendered his resignation owing
to ill health and askedto be re
lieved of his duties at t,,he end
of the year. He will retire from
the active Ministry and was re-
• commended for a pensioned re-
