was Matilda Bell, was the daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeremiah
• Bell; and was. born at Fitzroy in
Carleton County,- Noveniber. lf,
1847. While still. , young girl
she came with her parents to re-
side in the Bervie district, and
following her marriage to. John,
• Gordon lived on the 8th Con-
• cession of Kinloss ToWnship, but
has been a resident of Teeswater
for 60 years. Her husband died
about 35 years ago.

social , in the Foresters Hall. Be-
ginning at 0.30 eleven games of
binge were ptayed, by a large
