We are 'sorry to .hear of
accident which occurred to 'Masi-'
ter Billy .Smith of Carlow, -re-
cently' of Dungannon, when -he
was knocked down by ._a_ passim
motorist on Saturday night. The
result . was that Billy is in God-
erich Hospital with his ankle
fractured and the other ankle
also :damaged, necessitating both
to be put in cast, when swelling
goes down. He bears other bruis-
es and a deep, cut in his fore-
hegd. -

home , on Thursday evening, for
the Dungannon branch of the
Women's. Institute to have the.
October meeting. Mrs. George
Hodge, 'president, opened the
meeting with all singing O Can-

Sgt. Bill McClure returned on
Monday., to Christie St. Hospital,
Toronto, after a 14 -day --leave - with relatives. His ;many friends
wish him good Itick in recovery.
He was visited this past week by
his sister, "MtS. Sam Widconbe .
of Windsor and Mr. .Wideombe
at the week -end.
Mrs. Jack McGee had her ton-
sils ,removed at Wingham Hos-
pital
on Tuesday. She was able
. to ,return home from Wingham
on Friday..
At Union School No,. 17, West
Wawanosh at which Mr. Carman
Farrier is teacher,' there was a
successful masquerade party on
Monday night. Mr. Thos: Dickson
was chairman for an interesting
program and following this two
violinists,' Leonard Christloe and
Robert Bogie played for danc-
ing. Prizes were given for- best
costumes and were won by Mrs.
Everett Finnigan, ladies and Mrs.
Leonard Christloe, gents; Arnald
Stothers, . boys and June Niveris,
girls. $17.50 was the proceeds of
the evening.

critical operation at Goderich
Hospital on Tuesday morning. ,
