The Fall 'Thankoffering was
held in ' the: basement of the
.church last Wednesday. A. goodly
' number .of the congregation were
present to hear Mrs. Fowler of
Bluevale, the Presbyterial .presi-
dent. Mrs. Alex Mowbray was in
the chair and .Rev.. MacDonald
led in prayer: Mrs.. Cameron Mac-

PARAMOUNT
The regular monthly meeting
of the Paramount Women's . In-
stitute was held at thehome of
Mrs. -Jack 'Hamilton on Thursday
last. A tea was held and funds
raised for our 'local boys' boxes.
There, are 'six boys' overseas and:
six on home service to be -re-
membered. •$19.10 was. raised for
this purpose. ' the committee
wishes' to thank all those who,
made donations. Plans were made
to hold a dance this Thursday
night in the Paramount Hall.
Music is to be supplied .by -Car-
ruthers orchestra. The Iprogram
consisted of a reading 'by.• Miss
Alice Reid, music -by Verna Ham-
ilton and a solo by Mrs. Hamil-
ton. The 'Institute wishes to ack-
nowledge the gift of '$5.00 from
Mrs. Ramage for our Red 'Cross
work..It is planned to use it for
making two. comforters.
