the" United -Church Observer of
June 15th of the loss sustained
by Wesley United church, Galt,.
in the death of an honored mem-
ber, John Taylor, for many years
R,ecording_,Steward and me fiber
of session" in the local churches
and active also in Presbytery and
in the Hamilton conference .of
the ' United Church.
In early days he was known
as John -Taylor Jr. to distinguish
-him-froom-iris-father, -who o was .for -
many . years prominent, in. the
work of the .church. -
John Taylor Sr. and his . two
brothers, James and Joseph, were
leading members in Hope church,
west ..of Lucknow in the old Meth-°
odist days. Here John Jr. began
his church life.
Many years ago John Taylor
and his family moved to Galt.

church and where both father
and son are held • in honored
memory. -
The present writer remembers
well the senior brothers, John,
Jaynes and Joseph Taylor, three
good men in their day, and it was.
his pleasure also to know, and
