After a long period of failing
health, Mrs. •ilayi'd Gillies passed
•awa pia. Friday . afternoon at the
home o her • daughter, Mrs, 'Roy
Cringle of Detroit, Michigan. For
over ' two years Mrs. Gillies had

been in 'Detroit, where :she was
tenderly cared for by her .laugh=;
tors, as due to theinfirmities of
a long life,.. her strength gradually
failed her ,She was''n her 87th
year.,
