ROBERT BULLEN.
Old -friends in this district
grieved to learn of the death of
Mr. ',Robert J. Bullen which oc-
curred ..in Alexandra Hospital. an
.Thursday," March 5th at the age of
77 • years. He was the son, of the
late Anfiie .Irwin and. Robert Bul-
len, : early pioneers who settled
on the 12th: Con. of Ashfield,
Three sisters predeceased him,
Mrs.. D. N, MacKenzie,, Harriet.
and Mary .Ann.
Three .years ago he sold the
farm on which. •he 'resided his
whole life,. �He'.spent the, winters.
in Goderich and Just five: months
ago. had gone to reside there .per
xnanehtly. He -had. been in 'falling
health for' some :time and. death.
.was, due-frout.a• gradual' weaken'-
Robert Bullen ' was a quiet,.
home -loving, man,; upright and
'honorable. His relations .with his
neighbor's .were of unfailing good
will and his simplicity o`f life won
for him and retained many
friends:
He was a member of the Ash
field 'Presbyterian '.church arid a
regular. attendant while "health
permitted.
He is • stir4 ived by his widow
the former Rebecca MacKay and
one •son, George, of Toronto and
two grandsons. The Miss‘s Hat-
