Here is a jellyroll recipe that
I like, only it is known as -"A13-. ple . Cream. Roll":. 3/4 cup cake
flour, 3/4 teaspoon baking powder,;

cinnamon, 4 eggs,, e ' cup sugar,
1I4 cup molasses :.1 cup,. .heavy
cream, 3 . tablespoons' :sugar, ' �
cup strained applesauce,.. y c'u'p
.chopped ' ;nutmeats, ` ya teaspoon
'peppermint • extract.• ,Sift three
times flour, baking' .powder, Salt,
cinnamon. Beat . eggs well,. --add
sugar gradually. 'Add • ngtlasses:
Mix well,: Fold; in our,'niixture•
•Line shallow pan=•(15"x10") ,with
greased wax paper. Bake in hot.
,Oven 13 min. ' Trim edges':quickly,:
turn out on cloth sprinkled with
confectioner's sugar. , , Remove
Waxed paper,' . roll quickly..' Wrap
.in,. cloth..Cool:. Whip cream;: add'
the 3 tablespoons sugar ;`'aid re-
-maining ingredients. Unroll cake.
Fill.: Roll

Into 1/4 cup' s'VVeetened condensed
milk 'blend, 11/4 cups '-sifted icing.

merriment to the party when she

aeading. Ruth Baynard was lucky
at the game 'we played _...
After lunch was served Jane.
