Me. One year I , did decide that
would avoid this last minute

The fuilkral of Mrs. R. A. Grant
was held at Johnstone's Funeral
Home on Ttiesclay`of last week,
.andwas largely attended as a.
• fitting tribute to ' a lovely lady.,
who. was • a lifelong resident of
Ashfield. Township, .and had en-
deared herself to a wide ' circle
of friends and acquaintances.
An invalid for six • years from
a paralytic stroke; Mrs. Grant's.
death occurred' on Sunday, Nov-
ember 12th in: Goderich' Hospi-
tar where ' she had.. beensince
early in August. The immediate
cause. of . her • death was 'pneu-
monia. ;' Mrs. • Grant suffered a
series of paralytic strokes that
finall y• ' ender ed lien completely r
helpless and.; speechless; ,During
her:long. illness she had had ' all.
the care • and attention' that a de-
voted husb'ancl, .family. and nurses
could give her, ,
Mrs. Grant was . 71 „years and
5 : Months ofage to, the day of
her death. She,was .formerly Bar.-
bara ,Farrish.• and .:was born. -In
Ashfield Township, being .. one of
a family of ten children of David
Farrish 'and 'Annie Dickson. •
