FA L L FAIR DAY
OBSERVATIONS
Ideal conditions Certainly. pr.e-•
vailed on Wednesday,. September
27th, the day :of Luckriow's ,85th
annual fall -fair. The warrh•4 sun-
ny weather brought. out 'a' good:
crowd ''which wandered, backand
forth over the .fair grounds• and
through the arena. Among' the
varied• and attractive displays in
the arena were . industrial 'and_
handicraft exhibits. One of the
latter which, interested me was a
scene whichdepicted the typical'
Pioneer home.. This project was
very, ,well•• done, with, a'.realistic
fire •place and. 'spinning Wheels in
the. room. 'A Model farm• was' an-
other .excellent rural .school Con-
tribution.! Beautiful fly 0.. ra 1 ar•
rang:ements and displays 'of bak-
ing added interest 'and `color /to
this homemaker's department of
the .show. Highschool, students'
'competed 'in the racing events
and the High School was also
represented
p d in the agricultural as: •1
pest of the' fair: by both; the; boys.
and girls.: who belong to• the Calf
Club. This ;$5th. fair;:mas brought.
to a' close with an 'entertainment
and : dance at 'night,
