A NtW Brunan.--There is at last some
faint Probability of being accomplished,
what has for ninny years been contended
"for,in the shape of a bridge across the river
Maitland, from a_point near Holraesville,
• into' Colborne. Many of the farmers in
Colborne find it difficult getting out to eel'
their produce, and have tried to obtain a
bridge for years, brit it is only lately that*
anything definite has been clone. At a late
meeting of, the Goclerich township council,
„ a deputation from Colborne waited on the
Council to see what they would do, when
they agreatto do a certain amount of the
Work, provided Colborne would do the
same. The fartnere immediately interested
have raised 'considerable money towards a
0011Iffleneenletit of the work, and there Is a
probability, ere long, that a bridge will be
an established fact. We hopo the 0,•)•'•rnes
and County Councils will do their iiTArre in
the matter. •
