The. minister 'was •taken in :"a police' cruiser to ', hospital where' he ' died a few hours later. , Retired in 1947 Mr. Agnew retired in June 1947 but • was still assistant, minister of Calvary United Church; Lon- don, until his death. He held' many high officesin the :Church...1-1e served. in the. old Methodist Church as; conference •chairn an and later' as 'chairman of the "United' Church .Presbytery. In 1929 •he' was elected president. Of the London .'Conference. :An ;active member of .the old 'Meth-. ()dist Book ,Room. he 'continued to serve the Ignited Church Pith- fishing House after' union.
