MRS, JOSEPH CO LEY
Death cane suddenly about 1.30
on'. Tuesday morning of last week
to Mrs. Joseph" Conley at, her
home in . Luc now,. when, a heart
seizure proved:' almost instantly
fatal, . • •
Mrs. Conley had, hwever,• not

time. Seven years ago she Suf.,
tered ' a paralytic seizure) ' but
made a favorable recovery. With-
in the past year she has had re'
;current seizures, and was mak-
ing 'satisfactory progress, .when
stricken with 'the heart seizure.
Her daughter, . Agnes, ,'�vkio, had
come East beeause .of hr moth,
tr.'s ; illness, was planning to re-
turn; as her. 'cbndition: was con-
tinuing to improve. ,.
Mrs.. Conley appeared as usual
upon retiring late that night, • A'n
hour" or so ' after midnight • s'he
asked for' a glass' of water . which
.
Mr, ,Conley gave her. Agnes Then
went: downstairs for 'her. mother,
and ' upon returning in a few
moments; .it was to ' have her'
lather tell her, "Mother's gone".
It was that 'quick. : °'.
Exceptfor a few years' spent in
Western Canada, Mrs. ;Conley was
a lifelong resident. of . this com-
munity where she 'was. held in
• the-, highest regard. '

Thompson, a laughter of the late
'Moses Thompson,„, and ' Neorna
Mary ary Ann was born 65
?ears' ago on. August ` 28th, 1866,,
on 'the farm, on, the "10th. 'Conces-

In 1908 she married `'Joseph
Conley of Concession 8,; Kinloss.
They farmed 'the home •place now
owned by Jim Conley, and: for
five years'.: farmed, in the :West:

The 'funeral service was :cow- • ;
ducted 'by .Ret' Dr. W. J. Mum-
ford on ' .Thursday afternoon . at
the. MaeLerinan and MacKenzie
Memorial Chapel.• Interment -fol-
lowed in. Greenhill • Cexi'ietery, the
