x The most; .serious effect of
'rhinitis ' is that it slows ` up
growth. This occurs because of a
distortion: .of the face which
makes 'it . difficult for A pig to
eat.' ,
One of The first indications that
the disease ,has invaded the herd
is a, tendency of nursing .pigs to
sneeze , frequently in quick suc-
cession, _ Sometimes the :affected

against this disease. If the dis
ease is not. present on a farm,
every .effort should be . made to
