• The death of .Gilbert. 'Vint of
Ashfield occurred, on Wednesday,
August 22nd in_Wingham Gen-
eral Hospital after a brief illness:,
He was 76 . years. of 'age.. •
He was a son of James. Vint
and Margaret Blackstock and
was born in "Ashti'eldd Township
on June. " 9th, •1'875. He was lrhe
last ssurvitving member.. 'of. the
Vint family of thjree sons and
three daughters.. , ,
Practically a lifelong -resident
of the township, , Mr. "Visit was
held' iti• the: highest esteem , Iby . a
'wide • circle of •friends „.and • ,ac -
q iaintances, • _' ....
On June 19th,', 1904 he par-
ried
arTried ,Elizabeth ' Taylor of St:
Helens, who 'predeceased him on
July 29th,. 1945. A daughter; Mrs.,
George Alton (Elsie) died on
April 12th, .� 1945. i ; •
•• Surviving' is his daughter. •,Mary,
Mrs,: ,Clifford Hackett of Ashfield
and four grandchildren.,

fraternally, was, a .member of . the
