Stories of early-dars in; liruce
County shared honors with thrill-
ing tales of ;the opening up of
Western Canada at the annual
picnic of the Bruce County Old
Boys and car's, Association held
recently in StanleY Park, Van-
couVer. •
It was the 56th picnic, to..be
held since the .organization was
founded in Vaneouver •••=-. one of
the first such social groups to be
'c eated in the West Coast' city.

Dian Alton, formerly :of Luekriow,
who has been president -of the
association for the past ten 'year.
Now retired Mt' Alton was for-
merly a C.P.A. bridge and build-
ing expert. He came to Vancouv-
er in 1.890,-Lonly four years after
the city ,vi.rat founded. •
