;The death, of William Baldwin,,
a lifelong resident of Ashfield.
Township, occurred in Goderich
Hospital ,on Thursday, July 26th.
. -Baldwin had been. taken .to.
the hospital on Synday Suffering,,
'from shock and superficial burns
after his home was destroyed by
fire that; morning. ' On 'Monday
night he suffered• a 'heavy stoke.
from whichhefailed to . rally..
Mr. Baldwin observed: his 75th
birthday, on ;.June 8th,.'
Mr.. Baldwin: was born in Ash..-
field Township, ;being an .only.,
son of .the :late. John Baldwin.and
Jane Patterson. His wife, former-
ly Jane: 'Vint, :died in March" of
1949, They . had: no" children.
Mr: Baldwin was-, a quiet and
unassuming gentleman, honest
and upright and held in the .high
est esteem by friends •and neigh-
bors. • .
The funeral service was held
at, the MacLennan and. MacKenzie
Funeral Home on Saturdayµafter
