of last' week. She had been fail-

Treleaven was in her, 02nd' year
and. held the distinction of "being
Lucknow's oldest and longeot
continuous resident: She came to
the village with her parents as
a child of: four and- had, resided
herercontirivally sinee then,.
"Aunt Polly"- as she, w.as am-
i,}iarly , known :. to many, suffered
a fractured° hip' several months
;ago, and was iii. Wingham Hospi-

remarkable. 'recovery arid was
able to ;return home and, move
around a little but this taxed her-
strengtli too much, • and confined
her to bed; .In'liealth and in sick;.

panionship..and devoted care, and
